Cleaning restores a surface to the condition it was in, allowing for fair wear and tear. It does not repair, replace or landscape. Every year people book a bond clean expecting it to close out a list that includes items no cleaner can touch.
Outside a clean
- Wall repairs, picture-hook holes and repainting
- Damaged or lifting flooring, chipped tiles, cracked glass
- Gardening, lawns, hedges and green waste removal
- Pest control, where the lease requires a treatment certificate
- Rubbish removal beyond what fits in the bins provided
- Exterior windows above ground level, which need height access
Some of those are available as separate services or add-ons. The rest need a tradesperson, and the honest answer is that we will tell you which one rather than quote for work we should not be doing.
How to avoid the surprise
Read the entry condition report before you book anything. Anything on it that is damage rather than dirt is a repair, and repairs need lead time you will not have in the last week of a lease.
