NDIS cleaning
Cleaning delivered as domestic assistance for an NDIS participant. How the booking is set up depends on how the plan is managed and who handles the invoicing, so the first step is a conversation rather than a form.
What NDIS cleaning means in practice
The cleaning itself is ordinary household cleaning. What is different is the arrangement around it: who decides the hours, who receives the invoice, and what the plan actually funds. Those three answers change how the booking is set up, which is why this does not start with an online quote the way our standard house cleaning does.
Plans are managed in different ways, and the way yours is managed determines what we can take on. Rather than guess, we ask up front and confirm in writing before anything is booked. If we cannot do it under your arrangement we say so at that point, not after a cleaner has already been out.
A support coordinator, a plan manager or a family member can arrange the booking on the participant's behalf. Consistency matters more here than almost anywhere else — a participant should not have to re-explain their home to a new person every fortnight — so we hold the same cleaner on the run wherever availability allows.

Confirmed in writing before anything is booked
We ask how the plan is managed and who to invoice, then confirm what we can take on. If we cannot do it under your arrangement we say so then, not after a cleaner has been out.
One cleaner, not a roster
A participant should not have to re-explain their home every fortnight. We hold the run for one cleaner wherever availability allows and flag any change before the visit.
Hours spent where they matter
Tell us what matters most — dishes, laundry, the bathroom — and the visit is built around it. Two hours used well beats a checklist run at speed.
What is included
What the cleaner actually does
Every visit works through the same tasks in the same order, so nothing is skipped because the clock ran out. This is the standard scope for NDIS cleaning; anything beyond it is quoted before it is done.
Kitchen cleaning and dishes. Benches, sink, splashback, cooktop and appliance fronts, with the floor vacuumed and mopped. Washing up and unstacking the dishwasher can be part of the visit if that is what the hours are for.
Bathroom and toilet. Shower, screen, basin, taps, mirror and toilet cleaned inside and out, floors mopped. This is usually the room that matters most and it gets the time it needs.
Floors throughout. Carpets vacuumed and hard floors vacuumed then mopped, with attention to the paths actually used rather than a uniform pass that runs out of time.
Dusting and surfaces. Reachable surfaces, sills and shelves dusted, and touch points such as door handles, light switches and rails wiped down.
Laundry assistance. Putting a load on, hanging it out and folding, where that is within the agreed scope of the visit. We do not sort or handle anything you would rather we did not — say so and it stays untouched.
Bins and rubbish. Bins emptied, liners replaced, and rubbish and recycling taken out to the kerb bins on the right night if you tell us which night that is.
Linen change. Bed stripped and remade with fresh linen when it is left out, which is often the single most useful thing in a visit and the one most often forgotten to ask for.
A written record of the visit. Each visit is logged with the date, the hours and what was done, so the record exists if a coordinator or plan manager needs it.
Not part of a standard visit
- Personal care of any kind — showering, dressing, medication, transfers
- Clinical or nursing tasks, wound care, or anything requiring a health qualification
- Handling sharps, clinical waste or biohazard material
- Manual handling of a person, or supervision where a participant cannot be left unattended
- Deep cleaning, hoarding recovery or end-of-lease work, which are scoped and quoted separately
- Any decision about what a plan funds — that sits with the participant, the coordinator or the plan manager, not with us
Who this is for
- Participants who want the same cleaner rather than a rotating roster
- Support coordinators arranging domestic assistance on a participant's behalf
- Plan managers who need a clean invoice trail with dates and hours
- Family members setting up regular help for a relative
How it is arranged
- 1Tell us how the plan is managed and who we should invoice.
- 2We confirm what we can take on before anything is booked.
- 3A support coordinator can arrange it on the participant's behalf.
What we will ask you
- How the plan is managed, and who we should send the invoice to
- Who is arranging the booking — the participant, a coordinator, a plan manager or family
- How many hours per visit, and how often
- Anything in the home the cleaner should not touch or move
- Access, and whether someone will be home during the visit
We do not publish a rate for this work, because the rate depends on the arrangement rather than on us. Tell us the details and we will confirm what we can take on before anything is booked.
Choice stays with the household
The useful starting point is the person’s cleaning priorities
The cleaning task is ordinary household work. What changes is the setup: who requests it, which rooms matter most, how access works and where the invoice needs to go.

Set the priorities
Write down the rooms, boundaries and tasks that matter
A short priority list gives the cleaner a clear routine without making assumptions about how the person uses their home.
Build a room-by-room scope
Confirm the arrangement
Who approves the work and where the invoice goes
Send the contact, plan and billing details you are comfortable sharing. We will confirm what can be arranged before a visit is booked.
Discuss the cleaning request
Participant-led priorities
The person living in the home decides what matters most
Agree on the useful tasks, preferred order and household boundaries before the first visit, then update them when needs change.
Choose tasks by room
Work around the home
Pathways and household equipment stay where they are needed
The cleaner follows access notes, returns moved items and focuses on ordinary domestic cleaning rather than personal or clinical support.
Review hallway cleaning
Service continuity
A familiar cleaner means fewer repeated explanations
Where availability allows, one cleaner stays on the recurring run. Any substitute is discussed before the visit rather than arriving unannounced.
Discuss a recurring scheduleWhere to next
Three ways to take this further
The cleaning is the same work whoever is paying for it. These are the three things people usually need next.
See the full task list
The same room-by-room task list applies here. Useful for agreeing scope with a coordinator before the first visit.
Room-by-room checklistBook it privately instead
If cleaning is not funded, or you would rather arrange it directly, the standard flat rate applies with no different treatment.

Tell us the detailsWhat we commit to on every clean
$20M public liability
Carried on every clean, residential and commercial. Certificates of currency are available on request for building and strata managers.
Vetted and interviewed in person
Every cleaner is interviewed face to face before they are put on a run, not signed up through an app.
Free re-clean if it is not right
Tell us within 48 hours which areas fell short and we return and redo them at no charge, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
The same cleaner, and no lock-in
You keep your cleaner wherever availability allows. Recurring bookings run visit to visit — skip, change frequency or stop with reasonable notice.
A two-hour arrival window
Your cleaner confirms by SMS and email the day before with their name and your window, then again when they are on the way.
Not sure this is the right arrangement?
Send us the details of how the cleaning is being paid for and we will tell you what we can take on, before anything is booked.
Questions
NDIS cleaning questions we are asked most
If the answer you need is not here, ask us directly — we would rather answer it before a booking than after one.
How do I start if I have never arranged cleaning under a plan before?+
Contact us and say how the plan is managed and who handles the invoicing. We confirm in writing what we can take on before anything is booked, so nothing is arranged on an assumption.
Can my support coordinator arrange this instead of me?+
Yes. Coordinators, plan managers and family members regularly set up bookings on a participant's behalf. We just need to know who is authorised to change or cancel a visit.
Will it be the same cleaner every visit?+
That is the intent, and we hold the run for one cleaner wherever availability allows. If your regular cleaner is unavailable we tell you before the visit rather than sending someone you have never met.
Do you provide personal care as well as cleaning?+
No. This is domestic assistance only — cleaning, laundry and household tasks. Anything involving personal care or clinical support needs a provider qualified for it.
Can the cleaner do the dishes and the laundry, not just surfaces?+
Yes, if that is what the hours are used for. Tell us what matters most in the home and we will set the visit up around it, because two hours spent well beats a checklist run at speed.
What if I need to change or cancel a visit?+
Let us know with reasonable notice and there is no charge. We know appointments, health and transport move around, so we would rather reschedule than have someone stressed about a booking.
Do you keep a record of the visits?+
Yes. Each visit is logged with the date, hours and tasks, so it can be produced if a coordinator or plan manager asks for it.
Reviews
What people say about the cleaning itself
The arrangement differs by who is paying. The standard of the clean does not.
Booked Tuesday, spotless by Thursday. Our cleaner Maree is an absolute legend — the place has never looked better.
End-of-lease clean got our full bond back, every cent. Agent said it was the cleanest handover she'd seen.
Two kids, two jobs, zero spare time. Cleaner at Door gave us our weekends back. Should've done it years ago.
