Concrete cleaning in Adelaide

Paths, slabs, garage floors, patios and outdoor concrete cleaned across Adelaide — degreased, de-mossed and returned to an even finish.

Concrete looks like a single material but behaves differently depending on its finish. A power-floated garage slab is dense and takes high pressure comfortably. A broom-finished path is more open and holds dirt in the texture. Older concrete with surface wear absorbs oil and stains far faster than newer, denser pours.

The common problems in Adelaide are consistent: engine oil on garage and carport slabs, moss and algae on shaded paths through winter, rust from garden furniture and reticulation, and general greying from years of dust and weather.

Where a surface will keep getting dirty — a carport slab, a path under trees — sealing after cleaning makes the next clean substantially easier. That is a separate job, done once the concrete is properly dry.

What the visit covers

  • Paths, walkways and side accesses
  • Garage, carport and shed slabs
  • Patios, verandahs and outdoor entertaining areas
  • Pool surrounds and courtyard concrete
  • Degreasing of oil-affected areas before pressure
  • Moss, algae and lichen treated at the root
  • Rust stain treatment where the surface allows

What's different about Adelaide

  • Adelaide's June to August wet season is when shaded concrete goes green. Cleaning in early spring gets the best result and holds longest through the dry months.
  • Reticulation on Adelaide's bore and hard water leaves orange rust staining on concrete around garden beds — it responds to a rust treatment, not to pressure alone.
  • Newer estates through the north and south have thinner, denser slabs; older inner-suburb concrete is often worn and porous and will never return to uniform colour, which is worth knowing before the job rather than after.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will the concrete come back to its original colour?+

Older, worn concrete usually will not return to uniform colour — the wear is in the surface, not on it. It comes back dramatically cleaner and evener, which is a different promise, and we would rather say so upfront.

Can you remove rust stains?+

Often, with a rust-specific treatment. Pressure alone does very little to rust. Deep, long-standing staining may lighten rather than disappear.

Is sealing worth it?+

On surfaces that keep getting dirty — carport slabs, paths under trees — yes. It resists staining and makes future cleans faster. It is a separate job once the concrete has fully dried.

Will you damage my garden beds?+

We wet down and protect adjacent planting and control runoff direction. Tell us about anything particularly delicate and we will work around it.
