Pressure cleaning in Adelaide
Exterior cleaning for Adelaide driveways, paths, patios and outdoor surfaces — grime, moss and stains lifted without damaging the substrate.
Pressure cleaning is mostly a question of matching pressure and technique to the surface. Concrete tolerates a lot; pavers, sandstone, painted render and timber decking do not, and the damage from getting it wrong is permanent rather than cosmetic. Blown-out paver joints and etched sandstone cannot be un-cleaned.
Adelaide's dry summers and wet winters produce a specific pattern: dust and traffic film build up over summer, then moss and algae take hold through the wet months on the shaded south side of most properties. Both come off, but they need different approaches — one is pressure, the other needs a treatment that kills the growth so it does not return in weeks.
We assess the surface before quoting, and we will tell you when a surface should not be pressure cleaned at all.

What's different about Adelaide
- Adelaide's shaded southern aspects grow moss and algae heavily through the June–August wet, and the driveway that looked fine in February is often the worst surface on the property by August.
- Water restrictions and SA Water requirements can apply to exterior washing — we work to current rules and use controlled-volume equipment rather than open hosing.
- Older inner-suburb properties often have sandstone, bluestone or original brick paving. These need low pressure and a chemical approach; high pressure permanently etches them.
Questions
Frequently asked
Will pressure cleaning damage my pavers or sandstone?+
It can, which is why we match pressure to the surface. Pavers lose their joint sand and sandstone etches under high pressure — both are permanent. Those surfaces get low pressure and a chemical treatment instead.
Can you remove oil stains from a driveway?+
Usually improved substantially, rarely erased. Oil penetrates concrete rather than sitting on it, so how much lifts depends on how long it has been there. We will tell you honestly what to expect before starting.
How often should a driveway be done in Adelaide?+
Every one to two years for most properties. Shaded southern aspects that grow moss through winter often need it annually; a sunny north-facing drive can go longer.
Do you clean roofs?+
No. Roof cleaning is height work requiring different equipment, insurance and often a safety-rail setup — we will point you to a specialist rather than take it on.
